Niki Kanavas founded Matrona Law in 2018 after at least a decade in the law, wearing a variety of hats, grad student, professor, policy advisor, mentor, partner, and finally founder of her own practice geared towards offering boutique litigation services for individuals, and business of any size and range. The firm offers customized litigation services in corporate and commercial litigation, civil disputes, and appellate matters. The founder has herself prepared for and appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal on Trademark Infringement matters involving Chanel Canada, and Chanel International; and the Court of Appeal on civil matters and family matters.
In addition to litigation, the firm provides legal services for transactional matters including drafting contracts in Intellectual Property matters, Construction law, Family and domestic matters, and, corporate and commercial matters.
Matrona Law has an Estate litigation division which offers litigation services for Estate matters as well.
The firm is premised on the idea that access to justice be available to all, but, that above all, justice and the truth are heard through advocacy of loyal and committed attorneys zealously advocating on behalf of the client.

From working at the prestigious Coutts Crane to opening her own practice in 2018, Niki has represented clients large and small for nearly 10 years. She made headlines in 2014 when participating in the California Innocent Project in San Diego. Notable achievements include excelling in research law and litigation support strategy, drafting, and litigating with artful style and poise. Staying ahead of the law’s frequent changes is Niki’s sixth sense.
